Bootine Simmental Stud Close

Muscularity and Fertility: The Bootine herd consists of 100 cows. Breeding heifers are selected on calving as yearlings. Although polled cattle have been the nucleus of the herd, the polled characteristic comes second to productivity.

Eye Pigmentation: The vulnerability of Simmentals to eye cancer has directed us to select heavily for eye pigmentation.

Current Genetics: Bootine Freight Train has been used widely throughout Australia for his milk production and muscle.

Bootine Mick Jager is a trait leader for Birth Weight and is used in 18 herds across Australia.

Bootine J-Curve Interbreed Champion bull at the 1992 Perth Royal Show and a number of shows in WA.

Brenair Park Request is the current Bootine senior sire after winning Grand Champion Bull at the Perth Royal Show in 1998 and went on to win the Breedplan performance class at this show.
